Parenting Connection WA (PCWA) provides a range of universal and tailored evidence-based, locally relevant, groups and information for all parents and caregivers with children from birth to 18 years. All our services are offered for FREE and funded by the Department of Communities.
PCWA services include:
- Parenting education sessions around strengthening the relationship with children and teens, managing more than one child, transitioning to school, positive youth mental health, toileting, bedtime battles, morning routines, building resilience and managing anxiety, parenting after separation, screen time boundaries, events just for dads and protective behaviours
- Evidence-based parenting programs such as Circle of Security® Parenting™, and Tuning into Kids or Teens
- Programs that focus on supporting new parents, starting from pregnancy
- Expert speaker events that include Maggie Dent, Dr Kristy Goodwin, Karen Young and Dr Justin Coulson
- Parenting information sessions that address current needs e.g., support for parenting neurodiverse children
- Parenting support and playtime groups, where parents and caregivers meet weekly to stay, chat and learn
- Individual parenting consultations with our trained and experienced parenting coordinators
- A mix of online and locally based parenting education sessions across WA
- Community information and resources.
